For $40 per year (cost will be pro-rated by $8 per holiday), the Palo American Legion members will place a 3’ X 5’ American Flag in the front yard of your home or business on the following holidays: Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Veterans Day.
Volunteers will deliver and place a flag in your yard before the holiday and pick it up after. The Palo Legion Post will be responsible for any repairs or replacement should it becomes soiled, damaged or stolen.
Your donations provide support to Veterans, the community, and American Legion youth programs such as the Oratorical Contest, Flag Essay Contest, Cub Scouts, Boys State and Girls State. We also provide flags to the Palo City Hall, Palo Cemetery, Fire Station and the 1st Street Memorial Site.
Anyone in the Palo, Iowa area may sign up for this program at any time. Show your patriotism and support by signing up today!
